High School Programme

Our High School programme is a wonderful way to experience total English language immersion for teenagers. Students will benefit from a whole new cultural experience through living and learning all their subjects in English. As a result of this they will continue their education, learn new life skills and reach fluency in English at a much faster pace than their peers. Besides the academic benefits, the social outcomes are boundless. Students will make new friends from other cultures, establish life-long contacts, become more independent and will gain huge self-confidence. You can be sure that by enrolling your child in a high school programme, you will have given them a gift with life-long benefits.

Our Programme

After being met at the airport the student will travel to Bray on a transfer organised by LAI Bray. Each student will be welcomed by a host family for the duration of their stay. Here they will receive full board (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner) and a warm, safe environment in which to enjoy their stay. Students will be fully immersed in the English language and Irish culture as they become part of the family.

Each weekday students will attend lessons in high school and in the evening they are welcome to join complementary lessons at LAI. They will also be invited to attend weekend trips with our visiting groups.

Our Role

Language Academy Ireland has relationships with many different schools in the Wicklow and Dublin area, allowing you to choose from co-ed schools, female-only schools, and male-only schools. Each school has an excellent reputation with high progression rates to top universities. LAI offers the option of a full academic year (approximately 10 months) or a single term (12 weeks). This programme is available to students from 12 to 19 years of age.

While they are enrolled in the high school programme, students will also benefit from the professional support of the Language Academy Ireland team. As well as complementary English lessons after school, students will be invited to partake in weekend activities being run by the Academy for other groups. They will not only have a support circle in their high school, but at this academy as well. All of our students receive a high level of attention so that each student can feel welcomed to their new environment and achieve their full potential academically.
